The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available on January 1st at www.FAFSA.ed.gov. First, parents and students will need to apply for your Federal Student Aid PIN that is a 4-digit numeric code or 6-digit alphabetic code that is uniquely assigned to an individual to access Federal Student Aid Web sites including the FASFA. Your PIN can be used each year to electronically apply for federal student aid and to access your Federal Student Aid records online. Your PIN serves as your electronic signature. To apply for a PIN, visit www.pin.ed.gov.
